Car Diagnostics in Base Genera

Car Diagnostics in Base Genera: CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works only in the Toronto area. What this is: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

What we arrange

A person reads every request and replies with the next step. We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car.

Getting a clear quote

Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.

Car care, briefly

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Check that all lights work every few weeks. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.
