Car Diagnostics in Brookside

Arranging the work in Brookside

CarmaCars does not do this work itself. For a diagnostic check in Brookside, we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one. What this is: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

How we help

We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. A person replies within one business day. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile.

A rental while you wait

Rent for as long as the repair takes, by the day or the week. Keep commuting, shopping and visiting while your car is at the shop. You can also collect the car at our location in Toronto at no charge.

Getting a clear quote

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.

Small things that help

Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter.
