Car Diagnostics in Dewars

Getting it done

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 292 km from Dewars, and does not do this work itself. What this is: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

How the request works

If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. A person reads every request and replies with the next step. Your request reaches a person, not a machine.

Small things that help

Look at the tire tread before long trips. Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can.

Before the shop starts

If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.

Honest about distance

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Dewars. The straight-line distance from our location in Toronto to Dewars is about 292 km, and we deliver within about 250 km.
