Car Diagnostics in Lyons, MO

Getting it done

If you need a diagnostic check in Lyons: CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our network is around Toronto. What it involves: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.

Who does what

You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare.

Small things that help

Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive.

What to ask

Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours.
