Car Diagnostics in Lyons, TX

Arranging the work in Lyons

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Lyons is about 2,212 km away. What it involves: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

From request to repair

The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental.

Good habits for your car

If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Check that all lights work every few weeks.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.
