Car Diagnostics: how we help
Searching for car diagnostics in Maple View? CarmaCars does not do this work itself, but we arrange it with a trusted shop. The job: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.
How we help
The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price.
A car while yours is in the shop
Keep commuting, shopping and visiting while your car is at the shop. Rent for as long as the repair takes, by the day or the week. Self pickup at our Toronto location has no fee.
Small things that help
Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance.
A short checklist
Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.
