Car Diagnostics in Millbrook

For a diagnostic check in Millbrook, know first that CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works in the Toronto area. A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A warning light is the car asking for a diagnostic scan; the code tells the shop where to look.

Our part and the shop's part

You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.

Good habits for your car

Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.
