Car Diagnostics in Pointers Landing, VA

Getting it done

We do not do mechanical work, and we work in the Toronto area, far from Pointers Landing. The job: A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

What we arrange

If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins.

Good habits for your car

Keep the fuel tank above a quarter in winter. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.

Before the shop starts

Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.
