Buying a car in Pointers Landing

If you are looking for financing for a car, the honest answer first: CarmaCars does not offer it, but a rental can help along the way. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Try it for a week first

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

A buyer's checklist

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.

While you shop

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week.
