Car Diagnostics in Sunset, CA

Car Diagnostics: how we help

If you need a diagnostic check in Sunset: CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our network is around Toronto. A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

From request to repair

We do not set the shop's price or promise a date; the shop does, after it sees the car. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental.

Between shop visits

Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there.
