Car Diagnostics in Unity, VA

Arranging the work in Unity

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Unity is about 798 km away. A diagnostic scan when a warning light is on or something feels wrong, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. A steady check engine light needs a check soon; a flashing one means pull over safely and get help.

From request to repair

The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job.

Getting a clear quote

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.

Good habits for your car

Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Look at the tire tread before long trips. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair.
