Emissions Test in Basco, IL

Arranging the work in Basco

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 1,055 km from Basco, and does not do this work itself. What it involves: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

Our part and the shop's part

We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop.

Good habits for your car

Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Check that all lights work every few weeks.

What to ask

Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice.
