Emissions Test in Cavan

Emissions Test in Cavan

For an emissions test, CarmaCars sits in the middle: we arrange the work with a trusted shop and rent you a car while yours is in. In short: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

How we help

You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work.

No car? Rent one meanwhile

Keep commuting, shopping and visiting while your car is at the shop. We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Pickup at our location is always free.

Small things that help

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.

A short checklist

Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.
