Emissions Test: how we help
We arrange an emissions test through shops in the Toronto area. We have no location in Ector County. What it involves: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.
How we help
Your request reaches a person, not a machine. A person replies within one business day. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in.
No car? Rent one meanwhile
Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. If the shop finishes early, return the rental early. Or pick it up from us; that costs nothing.
Small things that help
Top up the washer fluid with a winter mix in the cold months. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
Before the shop starts
Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon.
Send a request
Send the car's details and the job, and we take the next step.
