Emissions Test in Garson

Arranging the work in Garson

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Garson is about 336 km away. Plainly: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

Our part and the shop's part

You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you.

What to ask

Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.

Good habits for your car

Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.

The short answer for Garson

CarmaCars has no branch in Garson. We rent from one location in Toronto. We deliver within about 250 km of Toronto. Garson, about 336 km away, is beyond that.

If the car can come to the Toronto area, we can arrange a trusted shop there. We know shops around Toronto best; for Garson, we say plainly what we can do. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Garson if you like. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

Next step

One request: the job, the car, and whether you need a rental meanwhile.
