Getting it done

Searching for emissions test in Hackberry? CarmaCars does not do this work itself, and our shops are in the Toronto area. The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Our part and the shop's part

We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. Let us know where the car is and whether it is safe to drive. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. A person replies within one business day.

Talking to the shop

Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept.

Between shop visits

Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.
