Emissions Test in Hoffman

Getting it done

Emissions Test in Hoffman: CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works only in the Toronto area. What this is: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

The steps

Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.

Questions to ask the shop

Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up.

Small things that help

Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair. Look at the tire tread before long trips.
