Emissions Test in Ivan

Getting it done

CarmaCars arranges an emissions test for drivers in Ivan through trusted shops, and rents you a car meanwhile. The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

From request to repair

Your request reaches a person, not a machine. If you already have a shop you trust, we can still rent you a car meanwhile. We keep you posted until the shop has the car booked in. Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one.

Your rental while you wait

If the repair runs long, keep the rental longer. If the shop finishes early, return the rental early. Collecting it in person at our location is always free of charge.

Before the shop starts

Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.

Good habits for your car

Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Check that all lights work every few weeks.
