Emissions Test in L'Erable, IL

Getting it done

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 773 km from L'Erable, and does not do this work itself. In short: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

What we arrange

Send a request with the car and what it needs. A person replies and arranges it with a trusted shop or recommends one. Your request reaches a person, not a machine. A person replies within one business day. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us.

Talking to the shop

Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour.

Good habits for your car

Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold.

Honest about distance
