Emissions Test in ᑭᙵᐃᑦ, NU

Getting it done

CarmaCars works in the Toronto area, about 2,283 km from ᑭᙵᐃᑦ, and does not do this work itself. The job: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

Who does what

The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. A person reads every request and replies with the next step. A person replies within one business day. Your request reaches a person, not a machine.

Car care, briefly

Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter. Follow the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual, by time or distance. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair.

Questions to ask the shop

If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask how long the job should take, so you know how long to rent for.
