Emissions Test in Ohm, CA

Emissions Test: how we help

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Ohm is about 3,568 km away. Plainly: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Emissions tests are required in some provinces and states; a licensed shop does the test.

Our part and the shop's part

We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental. The repair is between you and the shop; the rental is with us. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location.

Questions to ask the shop

If the car must stay overnight, ask where it will be kept. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies.

Good habits for your car

If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell.
