Emissions Test in Renforth

Emissions Test in Renforth

For an emissions test, CarmaCars sits in the middle: we arrange the work with a trusted shop and rent you a car while yours is in. In short: An emissions test or emissions repair where your province or state requires one, by a licensed shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Rules on emissions testing differ by province and state.

How the request works

We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. A person replies within one business day. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you.

Stay on the road

If the shop finishes early, return the rental early. A rental means the repair does not stop your week. Collecting it from us in Toronto is free.

Car care, briefly

Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them. Check that all lights work every few weeks.

What to ask

Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used.
