Engine Repair in Beta, NC

Arranging the work in Beta

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Beta is about 988 km away. In short: Engine repair, from a leak to a rebuild, by a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Engine work ranges from a leak to a rebuild; the shop inspects the car and quotes it.

Who does what

If the car cannot be driven, say so, and we arrange the next step with the shop. Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. The shop quotes the work itself; we do not add to its price. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental.

Small things that help

Use the grade of fuel your owner's manual calls for. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Keep the spare, the jack and the wheel lock key where you can find them.

Before the shop starts

Ask whether anything else is close to needing attention, and how soon. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask for the work to be listed line by line on the invoice. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts.
