Mechanic: how we help

For mechanical repairs or maintenance in Devon, know first that CarmaCars does not do this work itself and works in the Toronto area. What this is: Repairs and maintenance by a mechanic at a trusted shop we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Regular maintenance keeps small problems from turning into large ones.

What CarmaCars does here

Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. You deal with the shop for the repair itself, and with us for the rental.

What to ask

Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. Ask how the shop will contact you if it finds something unexpected. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.

Between shop visits

Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Do not ignore a warning light; an early check often costs less than a late repair.

Honest about distance

CarmaCars is based in Toronto and has no location in Devon. Our delivery reaches about 250 km from Toronto, and Devon is about 539 km away.

Planning to bring the car to Toronto? Tell us when, and we arrange the shop. If the car can come to the Toronto area, we can arrange a trusted shop there.
