Safety Certificate in Ruby, MS

Arranging the work in Ruby

CarmaCars arranges mechanical work through shops around Toronto and does not do the work itself; Ruby is about 1,626 km away. What it involves: A Safety Standards Certificate, needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy, issued by a licensed Motor Vehicle Inspection Station we arrange, not by CarmaCars. Only a licensed inspection station can issue a Safety Standards Certificate in Ontario.

From request to repair

The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. Tell us what you notice: the noise, the light on the dash, or the job you want done. We arrange the shop and the rental, and you keep control of the repair.

Good habits for your car

Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old. Note the mileage when each service is done, so you know when the next is due. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.

Getting a clear quote

Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you. Ask for a written estimate before any work starts. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the quote includes both parts and labour.
