Car care, briefly
Check the tire pressure once a month, when the tires are cold. Wash the underside of the car in winter to clear road salt. Have the cabin air filter changed on the maker's schedule.
What to ask
If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the estimate includes tax and shop supplies. Ask if the shop needs the car for a full day or only a few hours. If you want to see the old parts, ask for them back.
