The steps

We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job. A person reads every request and replies with the next step. You approve the shop's quote before any work begins. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work.

Car care, briefly

Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Keep an emergency kit in the trunk in winter.

Talking to the shop

Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask whether the shop needs your keys, the wheel lock key or the spare. Ask how the shop takes payment before you pick the car up.

Reach and distance
