Towing in Lyons, NY

Towing: how we help

CarmaCars does not do this work itself. For a tow in Lyons, we arrange it with a trusted shop or connect you with one. The job: A tow to a shop or to your home, by a towing company we arrange, not by CarmaCars. If you are in danger or blocking traffic, call 911 first. Once you are safe, send a request with where the car is and where it should go.

What CarmaCars does here

Give us the make, model and year, and a phone number for the shop to reach you. The shop sets its own price and time, and you agree to them before any work. Mention any warning lights or sounds; it helps the shop prepare. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location.

Driving while yours is at the shop

We deliver the rental to you and collect it when your car is ready. Rent by the day or the week, and stop when your car is back. Prefer to collect it? Pickup at our Toronto location is free.

Small things that help

Listen for new noises and mention them to the shop with as much detail as you can. If the car pulls to one side, ask the shop to check the alignment and the tires. Switch to winter tires before the first snow, and back in spring.

Questions to ask the shop

Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. Ask what warranty the shop gives on its parts and labour. Ask whether the parts are new, rebuilt or used. Ask when the car will be ready and how the shop will tell you.
