Arranging the work in Oregon
CarmaCars arranges a tow with trusted shops in the Toronto area, and does not do the work itself. What this is: A tow to a shop or to your home, by a towing company we arrange, not by CarmaCars. If you are in danger or blocking traffic, call 911 first. If the car is blocking traffic, stay safe first and call for help.
How the arrangement works
We pass your details to a trusted shop or give you its name, as you prefer. We can suggest a shop that suits the job and your location. Tell us when suits you and whether the car can be driven. We tell you plainly when we do not know a shop for the job.
A car while yours is in the shop
Rent for as long as the repair takes, by the day or the week. A rental means the repair does not stop your week. You are also welcome to collect the car at our location for free.
What to ask
Keep the invoice; it is part of the car's service history. If a warning light was the reason, ask what the code was and what fixed it. Ask whether the shop will check anything related while the car is there. Ask the shop to explain the repair in plain words before you agree.
Small things that help
Keep a record of every service; it helps the shop and adds value when you sell. Clear snow off the whole car, roof included, before you drive. Have the battery tested before winter if it is more than a few years old.
