Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Why rent first

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.

What to check before you buy

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN.

Bridging the gap

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking.

Honest about distance

CarmaCars operates from a single location in Toronto, so Arús is outside our area. We deliver within about 80 km of Toronto. Arús, about 3,097 km away, is beyond that.

For buying in Arús, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Arús if you like. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, with tax added in the offer.
