Buying a car in Avery

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Rent it before you buy it

A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

Questions to ask

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

Bridging the gap

There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing.

Our reach

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Avery. Measured in a straight line, Avery is about 1,221 km from our location in Toronto; we deliver within about 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Send a request with what you need in Avery, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
