Auto Loans in Berkeley Hills, Berkeley

Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Drive it like you own it

A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing.

What to check before you buy

For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price.

While you shop

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.
