Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

If financing for a car is what you need, know first that CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them; here is what we can do. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

A buyer's checklist

Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.

Bridging the gap

Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.
