Shopping for a car in Callaghan

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Try it for a week first

If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

A buyer's checklist

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired.

A car meanwhile

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels.
