Shopping for a car in Carleton

Shopping for a car in Carleton? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

A test drive that lasts

If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer.

Checks worth doing

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

A car meanwhile

A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.

Renting from Toronto

CarmaCars works from one location in Toronto and does not operate in Carleton. Delivery covers about 80 km around Toronto; Carleton is about 1,079 km away.

For buying in Carleton, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. If you still want to ask about Carleton, send a request; we would rather say no than overpromise. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

When you know your dates

Rent it for a week, then decide: send a request with your dates.
