Buying a car in Declo

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign.

What to check before you buy

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car.

Before your next car arrives

A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing.

Where we are

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Declo. We deliver within about 80 km of Toronto. Declo, about 2,764 km away, is beyond that.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Shopping in Declo? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you are unsure whether we can help with Declo, ask; we answer plainly. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
