Shopping for a car in Edna

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Try it for a week first

You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.

A buyer's checklist

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

Between cars

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.
