Buying a car in Hoffman

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Try it for a week first

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

Buying smart in Ontario

For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired.

Before your next car arrives

Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.
