This page is for Hoffman, but CarmaCars rents from Toronto. Here is the plain answer. How it works: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. Requests are answered by a person, by email and in your account.

CarmaCars has no branch in Hoffman. We rent from one location in Toronto. We cover about 80 km around Toronto; at about 1,003 km, Hoffman is outside that.

If you are flying from Toronto to Hoffman, we can help with a car on the Toronto side of the trip. A border crossing needs our written consent in advance; ask in your request. Why this way of renting

You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. Rates are before 13% HST, and the offer shows the tax too. Questions are answered by people who know the cars.

Common reasons to rent

Anyone between a car sale and a car purchase. People whose plans changed and need a car on short notice.

Who qualifies

Drivers from 18 up, with an Ontario G2 or G licence, are welcome. A daily young driver fee applies to drivers under 26, with no maximum age. A card in your name pays for the rental, and we see it with your licence at pickup.

Third-party liability is part of every rate, and damage to the car is handled by OPCF 27, a card benefit or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. The deposit is taken about 1 hour before pickup, never when you book. Licence and identity checks happen before the booking is confirmed.

Request, offer, keys

Every booking starts as a request: the car, the dates and where you want it. Nothing is charged to send one. A real person reviews your request and sends an offer with the price spelled out. If the offer works for you, approve and pay to confirm. If not, you owe nothing.

Each car shows its rate for a day, a weekend day, a week and a month. One booking runs up to 365 days, and a longer stay renews with a new agreement. Plan for at least 2 hours between sending the request and picking up the car.
