Buying a car in Indio

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits.

Questions to ask

Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit.

While you shop

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip.
