Shopping for a car in Ivanhoe

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Try it for a week first

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Rent the model, take it on the roads you know, and decide with confidence. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags.

Questions to ask

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure.

While you shop

Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.
