Buying a car in Jacobs

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Rent it before you buy it

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class.

What to check before you buy

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired.

Between cars

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.

Where we work

You will not find a CarmaCars location in Jacobs; we work from Toronto. We cover about 80 km around Toronto; at about 1,087 km, Jacobs is outside that.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Send a request about Jacobs, and we reply with a clear yes or no. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the offer shows the tax.
