Buying a car in Oaktree

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Drive it like you own it

Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

Checks worth doing

Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

Bridging the gap

A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking.

Where we are

Our only location is in Toronto; Oaktree is outside the area we serve. Oaktree is about 746 km from our location, and our delivery area is about 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Questions about Oaktree? Send a request and a person answers honestly. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
