Shopping for a car in Opal

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

Rent the model, take it on the roads you know, and decide with confidence. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags.

Questions to ask

Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up.

Bridging the gap

A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing.

Our area, and Opal

We do not have a location in Opal; CarmaCars works out of Toronto. Opal lies about 2,697 km from central Toronto, well beyond our 80 km delivery area.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Opal? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Still have a question about Opal? Ask in a request, and we answer plainly. All prices are in Canadian dollars.
