Car Rental in Opal, AB

Opal: renting made simple

Searching for car rental in Opal? Here is the honest picture from CarmaCars, a Toronto rental company. Good to know: Rent by the day, the week or up to 365 days at a time. Drivers 18 and older with an Ontario G2 or G licence can rent. The deposit is never taken at booking, only shortly before pickup.

Where CarmaCars works

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Opal is outside the area we serve. Measured in a straight line, Opal is about 2,697 km from central Toronto; we deliver within about 80 km.

Our cars stay around Toronto, so for Opal we can only help with the Toronto part of your travel. Because Opal is outside Ontario, the trip needs our written consent first. Send a request with what you need in Opal, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. All prices are in Canadian dollars.

The useful parts

You choose the car, we confirm it, and the offer shows every charge. Every car is a real listing with its own rates, so you compare before you ask. If the car you want is taken, we suggest the closest match we have. Requests are read in order and answered by a person.

Near Opal

Neighbouring areas include Kerensky, Egremont and Val Soucy.

The nearest airport is Edmonton City Centre Airport (YXD), about 50 km away.

Who this suits

Families who need a bigger car for a trip than the one they own. Anyone whose own car is booked in for service for a few days.

Rules for renters

An Ontario G2 or G licence and an age of 18 or more: that is where it starts. There is no upper age limit, and drivers under 26 pay a fee for each day. The payment card and the licence must match the driver's name.

Damage to the car is handled one of three ways: OPCF 27 on your policy, a credit card's rental car benefit, or the CarmaCars Protection Plan. Each car's deposit is listed on its page, so you know it before you ask. Every driver's licence and identity are checked before we confirm.

What to expect when you book

Every rental begins with a request from you. It costs nothing and it does not hold the car. A person checks the request and sends you an offer with the full price. Pay when you approve, not a minute before.

The rates you see on a car's page are the rates in your offer. A week or more is priced at the weekly rate, from 7 days. Book ahead if you can; 2 hours is the shortest notice we take.

When you know your dates

Not sure which car? Describe the trip in your request and we will suggest one.
