Shopping for a car in Sheldon

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Checks worth doing

Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

While you shop

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.
