Buying a car in Summit

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits.

What to check before you buy

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.

A car meanwhile

Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure.
