Buying a car in Terhune

Auto Loans in Terhune: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them, but we can still be useful. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Try it for a week first

Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other.

A buyer's checklist

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up.

A car meanwhile

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.

A note on distance

You will not find a CarmaCars location in Terhune; we work from Toronto. About 704 km from our location in Toronto, Terhune is too far for our delivery area of about 250 km.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Shopping in Terhune? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you want to check something for Terhune, send a request; a person replies honestly. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.

When you know your dates

Ask us anything about renting before you buy.
