Buy a Car: what CarmaCars does

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try. Shop for the car anywhere you like, and rent the same model from us first if we have it.

A test drive that lasts

Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

Before you sign

Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

A car meanwhile

You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.

Where we are

Plainly: we do not have a location in Olean. CarmaCars is a Toronto company. With Olean about 705 km from Toronto, it is outside the 80 km we cover.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. A request about Olean gets an honest answer from a person. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.
