Buying a car in Mapleton

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. Tell us the car you are looking for and we will help where we can, and you can rent a similar car first. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try.

Drive it like you own it

A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Rent the model, take it on the roads you know, and decide with confidence. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

What to check before you buy

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

A car meanwhile

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip.
